I am originally from Cape Girardeau, MO. I went to Notre Dame Regional High School and then attended Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.
While at Truman State I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and am currently finishing up my Masters of Education.
Swing Dancing - I discovered swing dancing in high school by taking two dance classes. During college I learned more about the dance from the college club. Today, I travel across the country to dance in various cities and states, helping to preserve a dance that is soon to be over 100 years old.
Jazz Music - While learning more about the various styles of dancing under the umbrella term of swing dancing, I cultivated a love for jazz music. After two years of dancing, I began DJing jazz music in my college dance scene. I proceeded to obtain gigs across the Midwest and some of the Southwest, ranging from Tulsa, OK and St. Louis, MO to Omaha, NE and Minneapolis, MN.
Coding - I have a minor in Computer Science and have been exposed to several languages including HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, Java, and SQL. I am using this series of websites as a tool to improve and work on my knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, MathJax, and SQL.
Running - Though I don't run much anymore, I ran Cross Country and Track for my high school. I participated in several 5Ks both for my high school and for myself and 2 half marathons in the woods (for JBDWRC). For Track, I ran the 4x800m, 1600m, 800m, and 3200m. I do have every intention of picking up running again, enough that I still have several pairs of running shoes and many articles of clothing dedicated to running.
